These are all hand-made and painted, so nothing happens super fast. For my existing designs, depending on the quantity and scale, I can typically bang those out in a few weeks. For new projects, where dozens or hundreds of hours will be required for modelling, it may take me a month or two. Let's plan it out!
That depends! How accurate do you want it to be? Ideally, you would provide a STEP file of your real-world design (taking care to remove any sensitive items you cannot divulge). With the STEP file I can then consolidate it into logical pieces that can be assembled. Think about model cars and airplanes. At the end of the day that is what I will be making for you.
Additionally, many high-quality photos from many angles are incredibly helpful. Known dimensions are crucial.
For those of you that wish to have key chains or "desk candy" made of your downhole tools, I can reference marketing material or images that is already publicly available. With no internal geometry concerns nor functionality, I do not need machining prints. You will have a beautiful representation of your product without spilling the beans on any sensitive information.
If you wish to have a deadly accurate model of your tool, with internals and key features to be used for customer demonstrations or training purposes, I am happy to work with Non-Disclosure Agreements. In such cases, your design is just for you or your entity and will not be shared or sold elsewhere.
